Someone is throwing the sink at Dele Farotimi – Duke Of Shomolu

Duke of Shomolu writes

We all woke up to the news that a petition has been sent to the Law Committee seeking the disbarment of Mr. Farotimi.

It appears this fight is getting more vicious despite the reported intervention of former President Obasanjo and Mr. Peter Obi.

From the report, all sorts of accusations have been thrown at Mr. Farotimi, including misleading the courts, fraud, and the like.

It’s very clear that everything is being thrown at the man, as another person has also reportedly sued him for defamation in Ibadan.

It’s definitely going to get worse, and I suspect Mr. Farotimi will be roped into all these legal battles for the rest of his life.

However, what these people don’t know is that the breeze has blown, and we all have seen the bare scabies at the bottom of the masquerade.

The big masquerades can castrate him, cut off his balls, and feed them to the pigs in their pigsty, but it still will not change the concurrent effects of Mr. Farotimi’s courage.

All you have to do is have a little case, and you’ll see how the value chain—from the investigating officer to the highest level of the judicial system—has been weakened and left in a leprous state.

Even the Inspector General of Police complained the other day, and we have been witnesses to the rash of judgments that have left us scratching our heads in bewilderment.

The strategy the ogres are using is very clear and obvious: complicate the whole thing, wrap him up in so many issues, sue him everywhere, and frustrate him. They aim to drain him of funds defending himself in Ekiti, Ibadan, and probably Abuja and Lagos. Then they’ll have him.

It is very clear the man is being bullied using all kinds of legal technicalities to keep him without his liberty, without which he cannot put up a good fight.

It is like tying a man’s hands behind his back and putting him in a ring with Mike Tyson. A fight that was always going to be Mike’s fight, and yet you still tie the opponent’s hands and watch Iron Mike pummel the teeth out of his face.

My people, I don’t really see the hurry in sending in this petition.

The man has pleaded not guilty to all charges, he is awaiting a hearing on his bail application, and then you slam him with another court case and a petition.

My people, Dele has struck at the foundation of avarice in that space. He may not have been able to bring it down, but he has weakened it, hence the scramble to rebuild it.

We know these things—the mess, the destruction of due process, the vacuousness in the system that has denied so many people justice and made a few demi-gods.

Mark my words: Dele is but a precursor, a John the Baptist who was beheaded, paving the way for the Messiah.

The Messiah is near, and he won’t write a book. He will be more robust in cleaning up the mess and merciless in dealing with the traducers.

Dele is but a messenger, although one whose anger, like John the Baptist, denied him the power of strategy, hence the ease with which he has been smothered.

My advice to the ogres is not to sheathe their swords after decimating Dele, but to be really prepared and sleep with one eye open, because Dele has just announced the coming of the Messiah.

Lastly, to the cowards who throng social media, shouting expletives, heating up the system, and saying, “Well done, Dele is right, Dele will die fighting, Dele is a warrior,” but are onto the next thing while Dele is wallowing in prison, I unleash the tears and curses of Nigerian widows on you all, because you are the real enemies of Nigeria.

Your cowardice sustains the evil system. Your refusal to leave your laptops and phones to build a bulwark of defense is wicked and vile.

God punish you all. Every one of you who hides under the anonymity of social media to shout but cowers under your harlot’s skirts when the time to stand up and fight comes, you will suffer.

Where are the rallies? Where are the legal funds to cover his expenses? Where are the sit-ins? Where is the barrage of physical support?

The loneliness of martyrdom is something I have witnessed and experienced on the lonely road of boldness, and this has made me resolve to follow only my conscience and no one else.

Martyrdom can be very lonely. Ask Dele Farotimi.
