The Royal African Young Leadership Forum

One of the legacy projects of the 51st and current Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, is the Royal African Young Leadership Forum (RAYLF).

This forum is dedicated to young minds in both the private and public sectors who exhibit empathy, social relevance, and the qualities necessary to make a vibrant Africa even better.

Now in its fourth year, RAYLF recognizes and honors 100 exceptional young people from 39 African countries.

These individuals have demonstrated significant impacts in various fields, including governance and leadership, innovation and technology, entrepreneurship and empowerment, creative culture, and academic excellence.

RAYLF Recognizes Henrich Akomolafe

Among the distinguished honorees is Henrich Akomolafe, an engineer, politician, and world-renowned entrepreneur born in Ikere. Akomolafe has earned a well-deserved place among the 100 exceptional African youths making significant impacts in various sectors.

At the recently held RAYLF event, themed “Africa of the Future: Better Together,” Henrich Akomolafe was recognized for his contributions, alongside other notable figures such as world record holder in athletics, Tobi Amusan.

This recognition is a testament to his ingenuity, sacrifice, and desire to achieve uncommon feats.

Launch of Women Owned Micro Businesses (WOMB)

At the July 13 RAYLF in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDAN), the Ooni of Ife launched a new initiative: the N1 billion Women Owned Micro Businesses (WOMB).

This initiative aims to support and empower women entrepreneurs across Africa, further emphasizing the forum’s commitment to fostering development and inclusivity.

The Vision of the Ooni of Ife

Speaking on the theme, “Africa of the Future: Better Together,” the Ooni of Ife emphasized the forum’s mission to uplift individuals from humble beginnings to greatness:

“The Africa Chamber of Commerce will continue to drive this vision. This is the reason why I came to the throne. We will work together with people for a better and greater tomorrow,”

RAYLF continues to champion the spirit of Ubuntu, inviting young leaders to share ideas and collaborate for the collective betterment of Africa. The forum’s ongoing efforts highlight the importance of unity, collaboration, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
