Green Lock FC secured a last-minute gritty 3-2 comeback victory over its local rival Hype Buzz Football Academy in a pulsating Match Day 2 of the Nationwide League One, Division One encounter on a Sunkissed Area 3 football field.
Hotshot forward Daniel Sunday Odumu was ice cold in front of goal to complete the comeback victory with an assured finish following a cut-through of the HB FA defense. The forward then joined Bright Umeh to receive the marching order after two cautions when he removed his top to celebrate scoring the winner.
Odumu gave Green Lock FC the game opener in the 4th minute of the game with an equally exquisite-headed lob, but the club went behind to two penalty kick goals on the back of a contentious Bright Umeh’s sending off three minutes into the second half.
Taofiq Yekini smashed in a set piece from 20 yards for the equalizer in the 69th minute, shortly after coming on. Daniel Odumu then sealed the win in the fourth minute of added time in the high-octane game.
Green Lock FC take on Beautiful Tours FC on Match Day 3 by 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 25th, at the same venue, seeking more points to climb up the table.
