In a continued effort to alleviate hunger and support the less privileged, the Adedayo Oluwasanmi Foundation has once again extended a helping hand to vulnerable residents through the distribution of essential food items.

The latest empowerment drive took place at the palace of the Olomuo of Muo Ekiti, Oba Noha Omonigbeyin, where beneficiaries received food supplies, including rice, beans, semolina, garri, spaghetti, and salt.

This initiative follows similar interventions by the foundation in Gbonyin and Emure Ekiti, as well as among Nigerians in the diaspora.

Commending the philanthropist, Oba Noha Omonigbeyin lauded Pharmacist Oluwasanmi’s selfless service to humanity, highlighting his dedication to the people despite not holding any political office. The monarch offered prayers for divine blessings on Oluwasanmi and urged others to emulate his generosity.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Pharmacist Oluwasanmi underscored the importance of kindness and community support, drawing on biblical teachings to emphasize the need to care for the less privileged.

“We must always be our brothers’ keepers. This initiative is aimed at cushioning the effect of economic hardship on the less privileged,” he said.

He also outlined his broader empowerment vision, which includes encouraging youth participation in agriculture through financial incentives and other forms of support.

Oluwasanmi commended Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, for his administration’s commitment to empowering residents, describing his own efforts as complementary to the governor’s vision for the state’s progress.

In a significant political move, Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi officially declared his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ode Ekiti.

Welcoming him into the party, the APC Ward 2 Chairman in Ode Ekiti, Mr. Oluwadare Fasanmi, expressed confidence that Oluwasanmi’s membership would enhance the party’s credibility and strengthen its grassroots presence. He urged party members to remain dedicated to initiatives that promote the party’s values.

Explaining his decision to join the APC, Oluwasanmi said he viewed politics as a broader platform to extend his philanthropic work and positively impact more lives.

“For Nigeria to prosper, collective efforts are required. APC, under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, has positively impacted Ekiti people, and I believe aligning with this party will enable me to do even more for my community,” he declared.

He pledged to make Ward 2 in Ode Ekiti a model of development within the state and expressed gratitude to party leaders, members, and the youth for their warm reception.

To further support youth development, Oluwasanmi provided cash grants to young people in Ode, Aisegba, Ilu Omoba, and Ijan, aimed at helping them venture into agriculture. He stressed that creating employment through agricultural investments is essential for a prosperous society and assured others who had yet to benefit that their turn would come.

Ekiti State Commissioner for Infrastructure and Public Utilities, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko, represented by his assistant, praised Oluwasanmi for his commitment to human development, stating that his decision to join the APC would enhance the party’s influence and broaden its reach.

Beneficiaries of the foundation’s initiatives expressed gratitude for the support. Taiwo Omoleye, Ogubanbi Deborah, and Mrs. Olalonpe thanked Pharmacist Oluwasanmi for his generosity and prayed for his continued success. Young recipients like Ogunsakin Felix, Sunday Olokunlola, and Ayomide Fabarebo, who received cash grants to support their agricultural ventures, applauded the foundation for empowering them financially and giving them a platform for self-sufficiency.

Pharmacist Oluwasanmi later paid a visit to the palace of the Olóde of Ode Ekiti (Ayekire), Oba Samuel Aderiye, where the monarch offered his blessings and advised him to proceed cautiously in the political arena, noting the unpredictable nature of politics.
