The Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort and Conference Center has again hosted traditional rulers from across Ekiti State, marking the third consecutive gathering of monarchs at the facility.
More than 40 royal fathers drawn from the 16 local government areas of the state were treated to an evening of cultural performances and fine dining at the resort’s TreeHouse Bar, as part of activities leading to the “Traditional Rulers Retreat 3.0.”
The retreat is an initiative of Agbeyewa Farms, a subsidiary of Cavista Holdings Limited.
Welcoming the monarchs, Director of Community Engagement at Agbeyewa Farms, Dauda Lawal, reiterated the vision of Niyi John Olajide, noting that the transformation of the resort by Glocient Hospitality Limited has repositioned it as a major tourism destination.
He also pointed to the resort’s recent recognition as Nigeria’s best holiday destination for two consecutive years.
Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Obas and Ogoga of Ikere, Samuel Adu, commended the scale of development at Ikogosi, describing it as a leading destination on the continent.
Also present, the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, praised Olajide’s contributions to the state’s development, describing him as a key figure in driving investment and growth. He urged other investors to emulate such initiatives to boost economic opportunities.
Other monarchs in attendance included the Onire of Ire-Ekiti, Victor Bobade, and the Oloye of Oye, Michael Ademolaju, among others.
The main retreat is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, April 15, with further activities lined up for participating traditional rulers and invited guests at the resort.
