Nigeria’s House of Representatives has directed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to enforce an immediate nationwide shutdown of pornographic websites.
The directive, issued during Tuesday’s plenary session, mandates internet providers to block access to such sites. Lawmakers argue that the move is necessary to safeguard societal values.
The motion was sponsored by Katsina Representative Dalhatu Tafoki, who described it as a crucial step in protecting moral standards in the country.
