Additionally, the Parents and Grandparents Program is dedicated to reuniting families. The IRCC aims to welcome 32,000 immigrants through this program in 2024, and this number is projected to increase to 34,000 in both 2025 and 2026.

In 2024, it plans to admit 110,770 immigrants for its Federal High-Skilled Program and caregivers, and this number is set to rise to 117,500 in both 2025 and 2026.

1. Eligibility Assessment

The first step is to determine if you are eligible for the Express Entry programs.

By answering a few questions, you can ensure that you meet the minimum requirements.

2. Create Your Profile

If you are eligible, the next step is to submit your profile and get ranked in the Express Entry pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

3. Document Preparation

It’s essential to gather the required documents, including passport or travel documents, language test results, proof of Canadian education, proof of funds, police certificates, medical exams, and birth certificates.

These documents will play a crucial role in your application, so ensure they are in order.

4. Complete Your Express Entry Profile: Provide accurate information about yourself while completing your Express Entry profile.

Once your profile is in the pool, you will receive a CRS score. It’s important to note that being in the pool doesn’t guarantee an invitation to apply for permanent residence.

5. Invitation to Apply

Candidates with the highest CRS scores in the pool will receive invitations to apply from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
