The new season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija Season 9) is captivating millions across the country, the question is – is this reality show a welcome distraction or a diversion from the pressing demand for good governance in Nigeria?

Undoubtedly, the show provides a form of escapism from the rigours of national life and a chance for people to engage with the lives of housemates and momentarily forget the challenges they face.
