Heaven’s Gate – A poem by Fortune Omosola

Heaven’s Gate – A poem by Fortune Omosola

Heaven’s gate is warm and receiving.

To miss out on heavens gate
After bearing earthly crucibles
is not wise,
The sword we dangle in this hay fever
is bristle,
Our skins are burning on glass,
How could we in search of pleasure
carry pain on a pilgrimage?
These things are confusing,
So is listening and refusing,
that if we, fading men, shepherded by time
Glow in temporal texture,
can dedeclaim the rising wisdom of eternity.

– F.Omosola ( The world is broken ) 2023.
