Flybird Supports Nigeria’s First International Airshow as Nation Marks 100 Years of Aviation

Business aviation firm Flybird Aircraft Management Services Limited (Flybird AMSL) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening global partnerships in aviation ahead of the maiden Nigeria International Airshow (NIA).

The event, scheduled for December 2–4, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja, will mark a significant milestone as Nigeria celebrates 100 years of aviation.

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, Festus Keyamo, said the airshow will serve as a catalyst for deeper regional integration and enhanced connectivity across Africa.

“The show will increase the synergy between financial institutions and the aviation industry toward contributing to a sustainable economy and environmental ambition,” he said. “It will also help achieve a more integrated aviation industry to accelerate the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).”

As one of the event’s key sponsors, Flybird AMSL said its participation reflects its commitment to driving innovation, operational excellence and strategic partnerships within Nigeria’s aviation sector. The firm noted that supporting the airshow aligns with its mission to strengthen safety, efficiency and sustainable growth in the business-aviation ecosystem.

Chief Executive Officer of Flybird AMSL, Ahmed Bashir Borodo, described the event as a transformative moment for the industry.

“By supporting Nigeria’s first-ever international airshow, we are aligning with a bold vision to position Nigeria as a central hub for world-class aviation services in Africa,” he said. “This event is a game-changer, offering a platform for global collaboration, investment and innovation.”

The Nigeria International Airshow is expected to attract leading global aviation players, regulators, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), service providers and innovators. The programme will feature exhibitions, live aircraft displays, panel sessions and high-level networking opportunities, showcasing Nigeria’s potential as a next-generation aviation destination.
