Excitement rent the air in Abuja on Friday, November 10 as Nigeria’s premier soccer showcase organization, Green Lock FC officially unveiled the club’s logo and kits.
The colourful event held down Wuye axis of Abuja metropolis on Friday evening.
The club also at the ceremony launch its cloud based data management website.
Green Lock FC was really delighted to unveil the club’s well balanced home and away kit which comes in a bespoke design that introduces a timeless interpretation of the club’s signature look.
The kits are entrenched with the latest innovations in particular materials that will allow the players to feel comfortable during trainings and on match days.
Speaking during the press briefing, club Chairman, Dr. Olubunmi Oladeinde Peters said the Green Lock FC project was ordained, which he believes will benefit Nigerians immensely from the value they’re going to bring to the table.
The Chairman pledged his unalloyed support and commitment to the team. He assured that in a few years down the line, he is expecting Green Lock FC to be on the front porch, particularly for players who are willing to work hard to carve a niche for themselves on the global scale.
“It is a privilege to find myself in this environment, I least imagined I would ever be someone who will be in the football arena, but it seems like it was ordained and because we give the best in whatever we do, and I think Nigerian environment is going to benefit immensely and exceptionally from the value they are going to bring on the table”
He continues:
“What you’ll be watching out for is the tenacity for continuation, when you are able to continue doing what you have to do the best way possible, you’ll succeed, so in a few years down the line, am expecting an amazing football club that will impact locally and internationally, a club that will not evolve to manage football club as it is done historically in this environment”
“We will develop strategies that will change the game, and with me privileged to be leading, and providing leadership, I will give them the best guidance”
Meanwhile, the Executive Vice Chairman and the visionary of the Green Lock FC project, Mr. Olufunsho Peters, while speaking from his base in the United States of America via Zoom during the press conference, said his love and passion for the success of the club is unparalleled.
Olufunsho who is skilled and endowed in other aspects of the game such as coaching and management, said –
“Green Lock FC is poised to revolutionize the recruitment game in Nigeria, with the hope of exposing talented football players in the country to a better playing opportunity outside the shores.”
The event was conducted in a serene and in a receptive atmosphere, it was one which defines class and beauty, turnout of the invited guests was another that speaks volume which encapsulates the attraction that Green Lock FC commands.
Present at the event was the club Chairman, Dr. Olubunmi Oladeinde Peters, the club’s management team that included Mr. Olufunsho Peters (virtually), Mr. Olayinka Oladunjoye who is the club’s Chief Coordinating Executive, Mr. Bayo Olanlege who is the Chief Operating Officer, Nationwide League Chairman, represented by his COO, Mr. Shola Ogunnowo, Chairman, Bwari Local Football Councils, Mr. Felix Musa, Green Lock FC coaches and players, as well as members of the press.
Green Lock FC will be taking part in their maiden campaign in the 2023/24 Nationwide League season in Nigeria.
