In a recent post on X that resonated across the digital landscape, Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani has revealed the commencement date of the highly anticipated 2nd Phase of the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Program in Nigeria.
With a goal to select an additional 300,000 individuals, this initiative is a pivotal component of the Renewed Hope plan which in turn would bolster the country’s prowess in technical skills.
The inaugural phase, which began in November 2023, saw 30,000 chosen participants delving into diverse technical fields such as Software Development, UI/UX Design, Data Analysis, and more. As the second phase gears up for a March 2024 kickoff, the excitement among prospective applicants is palpable.
Plans Ahead
The 3MTT program’s comprehensive training not only addresses the evolving demands of the digital era but also aligns with Nigeria’s broader strategy for digital transformation. This initiative is more than a training ground; it symbolizes the government’s commitment to cultivating innovation, resilience, and excellence in the digital ecosystem.
As already known, the program’s focus on core technical skills, including AI/Machine Learning, Game Development, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing, demonstrates a forward-looking approach to preparing individuals for the dynamic landscape of the digital economy.
