Ekiti State Seeks Stronger Alliance Between Traditional Rulers and Investors at Ikogosi Retreat

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has called for deeper collaboration between traditional rulers and private investors as a strategy to unlock new opportunities and accelerate development across the state.

Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, at the second annual Traditional Rulers Retreat organised by Cavista Holdings Limited in Ikogosi, the governor stressed the pivotal role of monarchs in transforming communities and attracting sustainable investments.

Governor Oyebanji also praised Cavista Holdings for convening the retreat and its ongoing commitment to job creation and youth empowerment through flagship projects such as Agbeyewa Farms.

He assured that the state government would remain supportive of any initiative that aligns with its vision of inclusive development.

The retreat, held at the scenic Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort, brought together top Yoruba monarchs including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, and the Chairman of Ekiti Traditional Council, Oba Ilori Faboro, among others. It served as a forum for traditional rulers to explore their roles in modern governance and the future of agribusiness in Ekiti.

Meanwhile, Cavista Holdings, owners of Agbeyewa Farms and concessionaires of the Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort, reaffirmed their pledge to foster rural development and job creation across Ekiti and beyond.

Panel discussions, cultural showcases, and networking sessions added colour to the event, which was themed around repositioning the traditional institution as a driver of development.
