Nigerians would have to wait with bated breathe for what the BBC through its investigative lenses is about to unearth in the next couple of weeks about a late Nigerian prophet.
In the past, a lot of accusations has trailed the activities and religious doings of the Late T.B Joshua who died in 2021. But, the latest reveal by British Broadcasting service may prove a mouthful.
Dozens of persons have already given eyewitness accounts bordering on allegations of sexual assault, physical abuse, faked miracles and trauma -allegedly suffered in the hands of a late Nigerian pastor, Temitope Joshua, aka TB Joshua.
The BBC said it conducted a two-year investigation, in collaboration with an international media platform – Open Democracy, which involved more than 15 BBC journalists across three continents.
The report stated that former insiders estimated that Joshua made tens of millions of dollars from pilgrims and other money streams – fundraising, video sales, and stadium appearances abroad.

Also in the picture is one Agomoh Paul, who was once considered Joshua’s right hand. He explained the alleged scripted nature of the miracles that he was privy to while he was at Synagogue. He also exposed a meticulous plan where participants were purportedly paid, drugged, or misled about their health conditions before giving testimony about their miraculous recovery.
Paul’s revelations suggest a deeper motive behind Joshua’s actions – a pursuit of control not only over the miracles but over the minds of his followers.

There were sources that say that those “cured” had often been paid to perform or exaggerate their symptoms before their supposed healing took place.
In some cases, they say, people had been unknowingly drugged or given medicine to improve their conditions while at the church and later persuaded to give testimony about their recovery. Others were falsely told they had tested positive for HIV/AIDS and that, thanks to Joshua’s ministrations, they had now become virus-free.
As we speak reactions are pouring to defy, demean or accept the reality of this exponential revelations that cuts in on the Synagogue Church of Nations.
