Position Summary:
The role involves coordinating the Leading Minds Fellowship, partnering with young individuals, and facilitating research initiatives to shape the upcoming Leading Minds Conference on Climate Breakthroughs in May 2024.
Responsibilities Include:
Identifying institutional partners for the Young Leading Minds Fellowship and recruiting 10 fellows for research projects
•Providing project management support to fellows and the conference organizing team
•Coordinating research projects among fellows and partnering institutions
•Ensuring the quality of final deliverables and providing guidance to fellows
•Reporting to the Youth Engagement Manager at UNICEF New York Office
•Masters in Social Sciences, Communications, Public Policy, or relevant technical fields
•Minimum 5 years of experience in social research, program coordination, and engaging young individuals globally
•Strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
•Fluency in English; knowledge of other UN languages is advantageous
Conditions of Consultancy
•Consultant responsible for own computer equipment and software
•Travel required for which costs will be covered; arrangements to be made by the consultant
•Payment based on agreed deliverables; UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment for subpar submissions or delays
•Consultants responsible for tax liabilities and duties
