Adulthood Is A Cruel Phase – By Dimmachukwu Ndubuisi

Adulthood may just be the most daunting stage of the human cycle where you barely have little or no time to be right or wrong, to choose lest you loose, smash your goals and be enough.

Seconds turn to minutes pretty quickly and minutes to hours, as days pass you by, leaving you to wonder when you’d ever have the time to do, to live, to become.

Adulthood may just be the cruelest phase of your time on earth where you only live once. It makes you appreciate the gift of childhood, the freedom of irresponsibility and the joy of simplicity.

It elevates your love for those that birthed you and raised you as you begin to understand the sacrifices that was made for you to get to where you are right now. Even the resentment you felt towards those you once called selfish slowly fizzle away because now, you know; you know better.

When you start to focus on the lessons learnt from all of life’s experiences, prioritise and enjoy making good memories and relationships, eat healthy, living one day at a time in sync with God, as you learn to love yourself; Adulthood will be the best time of your life.

My advice for you as you journey through life: don’t be in a hurry to grow up, whatever you think you are missing at the moment, you will experience and probably get it beyond your wildest imaginations.

At the end, dis life na jeje, it’s therefore in your best interest to take it one step at a time.
