Phoenix Athletics Sports Limited has announced that the official draw ceremony for the 2026 Prof. Akin Oyebode Cup will hold online at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, as preparations intensify for the fifth edition of Ekiti State’s premier grassroots football competition.
According to the organisers, the draw will feature only Local Football Council (LFC) youth teams that have successfully completed their team and players’ online registration.
A total of 16 teams will participate in the boys’ category draw, while the draw for the girls’ competition will be conducted at a later date.
The exercise will be conducted by Phoenix Athletics Sports Limited and coordinated by Pelumi Abiara and Olamide Awoyinfa, with the organisers assuring stakeholders of a transparent and professionally managed process.
Team coordinators, coaches, players, journalists, football administrators and supporters have been encouraged to join the online draw as excitement builds ahead of the tournament.
