Celebrities like Rylan Clark and TikTok creators such as Cadaea have played along, amplifying the buzz. Even major brands like Currys have gotten involved, posting staged promotions.
For the uninitiated, the company behind this tech TCKR Systems isn’t new. It’s a fictional firm introduced in previous Black Mirror episodes like San Junipero, Playtest, and Black Museum, where it’s known for connecting consciousness to digital realities. The name is a clear nod to the show’s long-running fascination with tech-gone-too-far.
According to fan speculation, TCKR Systems and the Nubbin chip will play central roles in three upcoming episodes Eulogy, Hotel Reverie, and the much-anticipated USS Callister sequel in Season 7.
