Not a peaceful way to fly.
As kids, they told us – once beaten twice shy. This caricature of an airline used 8hours to take me from Lagos to Uyo, the other day.
They shifted the flight four times and finally asked us to choose any seat we wanted since they had multi destinations.
Which kind yama yama airline is this one again and if someone give review, they will abduct the person the way they abducted the tomato girl
This peaceful airline has caused Nigerians truama. Its inefficient engagement with the flying public has been nothing but toxic.
With the shambolic approach to sevrice, Only God knows what corners they are cutting in the areas of safety.
On my way back, they gave me a 5pm flight.. Woke up at 3am to pee and check in online only to find out that the flight was now 11.00am with no email notification.
I say ok ooo but I was ready.. I got to the airport by 8am same time with the Ghanaian National team and promptly, those ones were lifted by Ibom Air and they waved us bye.
At 11.00am, with no single sign that the Peaceful fools will appear, the Nigerian National team fresh from a victory arrived.
We all stood there with one, not so peaceful staff telling us that the weather was obstructing operations.
The crowd almost chopped off her head. Weather? IBom air have taken off twice o we echoed.
At that point, my Nigerianness kicked in. I moved to the Ibom Air kiosk and bought a one way ticket at N160, 000 to Lagos.
Now Ibom Air is 1.30am and I am comfortably escounced in the VIP suit of the Airport while the Super Eagles and many other travellers who are waiting for an 11.45 peaceful are still in the outer lounge looking for mattresses to buy.
This peaceful airline is nothing but a cacaphony of confusion, headed by a pig headed Emperor who only busies himself with self promotion instead of hunkering down and building a world class airline.
You see, there are different kinds of visioners. There are the ones who vision a begining and then let go for real professionals to take it from there
This man is rumning such a huge enterprise like the mallam who sells tea down the road from my house in Shomolu and this is bringing untold embarrassment to the nation cos of the high profile nature of the business, talk less of the untold hardship we face trying to access his services.
I think its time he stepped down or elevated himself to the chairmanship of the company and allow a structure that would push along very well defined international set standards to run the company
Ibom Air is a perfect example. The Government of Akwa Ibom State have allowed a team of professionals run the company without hinderance
I hear, even the Governor pays for his tickets and past Governors of the State have been known to join the queue
Today, as I seat in the lounge with my Ibom Air back up ticket, I find myself the envy of the airport which has been filled by harried peaceful passengers who will definitely spend enough time at this airport with no consolation.
You cant call yourself peace and give people turbulence while still smiling to the Bank without a care.
These are the type of things that made Chinua Achebe proclaim – there was a country
There was truly a country, cos if there was a country something would have been done about this caricature of an airline, I swear
You may come and beat me.
