She now stands alongside Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and her husband Jay-Z, whose fortune Forbes estimates at $2.5 billion.
The singer’s ascent to billionaire status follows years of commercial success across music, touring, film, and brand deals. Earlier this month, Forbes had placed her net worth at $800 million, projecting she would soon cross the billion-dollar threshold, a prediction realized through multiple lucrative ventures.
Her 2023 Renaissance World Tour grossed nearly $600 million worldwide, while the subsequent concert film, distributed directly through AMC Theatres, earned her close to half of its $44 million global box office revenue.
In 2024, her album Cowboy Carter, which explored the Black roots of country music, won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, her first victory in the category.
Forbes estimates that the Cowboy Carter tour generated over $400 million in ticket sales and an additional $50 million in merchandise revenue. Despite reports of some slow ticket sales leading to price adjustments, the tour set records in venues such as London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Paris’s Stade de France.
Additional earnings include an estimated $50 million for a halftime performance during Netflix’s Christmas Day NFL game and $10 million from a Levi’s advertising campaign.
