Local side Ikole LFC youth team set a dominant tone with a 5-0 victory over Moba LFC youth team, a margin matched by Gbonyin/Aiyekire LFC youth team in their 5-0 defeat of Emure LFC youth team.
Irepodun/Ifelodun LFC youth team delivered the day’s most emphatic result, overwhelming Ilejemeje LFC youth team 7-0.
The sole exception to the one-sided results was a tightly contested 2-2 draw between Ido/Osi LFC and Ekiti East LFC youth teams in the tournament’s opening match.
The competition, hosted entirely at the upgraded Ikole Township Stadium, was officially opened by the Chairman of Ikole Local Government Area, Hon. Bayo Omojola. He was joined by the Chairperson of Ikole West LCDA, Hon. Mosun Adeyemo, and the Secretary to Ikole LGA, Mrs. Adenike Adebowale.
