Trump Announces “Gold Card” Visa Program for High-Investor Immigrants

Its the new “Stay-in” Visa.

President Donald Trump unveiled it as a new immigration pathway on Wednesday that would help wealthy foreign investors retain a spot in The U.S.

It would offer them a fast-tracked U.S. residency and a “direct path to citizenship” through the purchase of what he termed the “Trump Gold Card.”

The program, first announced earlier this year, allows individuals who can invest at least $1 million or $2 million if sponsored by a U.S. business, to obtain a visa in what is promised to be “record time.” An upcoming “Platinum” tier offering special tax breaks will be available for $5 million.

In a social media post, Trump promoted the initiative as a way for American companies to retain top international talent. “SO EXCITING! Our Great American Companies can finally keep their invaluable Talent,” he wrote.

According to the program’s official website, the card is intended for those who can demonstrate they will provide a “substantial benefit” to the United States. The $1 million fee itself is presented as evidence of that benefit.

All applicants must also pay a non-refundable $15,000 processing fee before their application is reviewed, with additional government fees possible depending on individual circumstances.

The launch comes amid a broader White House push to tighten immigration controls, including increased work visa fees and stepped-up deportations of undocumented migrants.

The “Gold Card” program reflects an approach that pairs restrictive border policies with selective, investment-based avenues for legal immigration.
